1. The main thrust of the book is the History of Sultan Bello Mosque and its contribution to the Development of Islamic Education in Northern Nigeria. It highlighted on the origin, establishment and development of Kaduna as the capital city of the then Northern Region of Nigeria. It also highlighted on the diverse people that made up or constituted Kaduna mainly the Zage Zagi which were part of the extension of the kingdom of Zazzau in the early period as well as pockets of Gwari settlements, railway workers and with the transfer of the capital to Kaduna, clerks and government officials. This combination of people and their heterogeneous nature needed to be extensively Islamized. Hence, the building of Sultan Bello Mosque contributed tremendously towards that. The building was initiated by the Sardauna of Sokoto and the Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello. Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, the then Grand Khadi of the Northern Region along with other Sheikhs conducted series of activities in the mosque that involved the people of the town and the entire Northern Region fully. This is because the programmes were fully aired on television and radio stations.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Zombie is the 27th full-length album by Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. It is considered to be one of his best albums. The song "Zombie" was featured on the IF99 radio channel on Grand Theft Auto IV.The album was a scathing attack on Nigerian soldiers using the zombie metaphor to describe the methods of the Nigerian military. The album was a smash hit with the people and infuriated the government, setting off a vicious attack against the Kalakuta Republic (a commune that Fela had established in Nigeria), during which one thousand soldiers attacked the commune. Fela was severely beaten, and his elderly mother was thrown from a window, causing fatal injuries. The Kalakuta Republic was burned, and Fela''s studio, instruments, and master tapes were destroyed. Fela claimed that he would have been killed if it were not for the intervention of a commanding officer as he was being beaten.

The Mystique of Community

This book takes associations and cult societies in Africa as structural forms, much contrary to claims of super human agency proper to members, promoters and modernists alike. The aim is to understand the underlying principles of operation at work in organization and practices over a wide area (that stands astride the South of Cameroon and South East of Nigeria) and which even take on a universal character over time (with surviving forms in the Americas). The rich repertoire of grand societies, entertainment clubs, governing councils, women s mobilization movements and mystery manifestations and therapeutic orders are analyzed comparatively in terms of spatial distribution, relationship to social organization/social structure, representations and connectivity/disassociation between persons and communities. This books brings together insights from sociology and anthropology into what is often treated as senselessly exotic by the foreign observer, the relics of a disturbing past for the modernized African, a tradition that must be reproduced mechanically by the African or religious practices that run contrary to the grand world religions with a proselytizing character.

TRACKS: 01.
